Organic farming is an agricultural production system defined and regulated at Community level by EC regulations no. 834/2007 and EC n. 889/2008. By law, the label must contain the words "superior category olive oil obtained directly from olives and solely by mechanical means", which refers to a control specification by organic certification bodies. This gives enormous added value to organic extra virgin olive oil, qualifying the high quality and high organoleptic and nutritional characteristics that are essential for our health, since it is a food widely used in our diet.
