Olio Venneri is a family business founded in 2011 by Emma Venneri Natale to honor and revive thetradition that was running in the previous generations of the family. The passion for olive oil was alive from the early days of the establishment of “Castello Venneri”, also known as “Casino Masseria”, for being the heart of olive harvest and olive oil production. The ancient residence is a typical example of baronial architecture, flourishing between the end of the 16th and the beginning of the 17th century in Calabria. Located among centuries-old olive trees, it still houses the headquarters of the company, becoming a bridge between the ancient traditions and knowledge and the needs of the modern market.

In 2021 it expanded its activity through the launching of its own label and brand in the international market. In 2023 its monovariety “Dolce di Rossano” won a silver award for its quality at the London International Olive Oil Competition 2023 (LIOOC 2023), followed by a bronze award at the Berlin Global Olive Oil Awards 2023 in the category Bio Extra Virgin among 882 different olive oils from all other the world, and a silver silver award at the Canadian International Olive Oil Competition 2023 in the quality category.

EVOO - Organic extra virgin olive oil "VENNERI" 500 ml.

Our plantation consists of new and centenary olive trees and extends in the hilly area of ​​Cariati, about 2 km from the blue Ionian coast. One of our fundamental values ​​is respect for nature and therefore we cultivate, with organic methods, exclusively the local and native variety of the area, the "Dolce di Rossano" in non-intensive cultivation. The olive harvest is done in the traditional way, manually picking the early green olives to ensure the preservation of the organoleptic properties. The olives are pressed and the oil cold extracted within 24 hours of harvesting and stored in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of 16-18°C until bottling. The "VENNERI" Organic EVO oil is filtered, aromatic, of low acidity, yellow-gold color, with a fine consistency, delicate, slightly fruity taste and with a spicy touch. The "Dolce di Rossano" variety gives this oil a bitter nuance, which makes it ideal for semi-structured dishes, fish, meat, lentil/bean soups and as a salad dressing.
