Giulio Auricchia” Agricultural Company

Located in the Ligurian hinterland, the "Giulio Auricchia" farm is a small family-run business that is passionately dedicated to the production of Ligurian extra virgin olive oil of the prized “Taggiasca” variety and very high quality honey.

The history and objectives of the company

The company was founded on the initiative of a young agronomist from Imperia, Giulio, passionate about his land and its traditions. After specializing in sustainable crop management and beekeeping, he decided to develop a farm in his own area. The company's objective is to be able to reconcile the limitations imposed by the harsh Ligurian territory with the most modern olive growing and beekeeping techniques to obtain excellent products, such as Ligurian extra virgin olive oil and superior quality honey.

The olive groves

The olive groves, of the Taggiasca variety, are composed of both imposing centuries-old trees, witnesses of the historic Ligurian olive growing, and recently planted young trees, all grown on the characteristic Ligurian terraces called "fasce". These olive groves produce the renowned Porto Maurizio extra virgin olive oil and Imperia extra virgin olive oil, symbols of a tradition that combines authenticity and innovation.

Beekeeping

Beekeeping, initially a simple passion of Giulio, has become, over time, an increasingly relevant and organized activity within the company. The hives are managed in compliance with the biological needs of the bees and produce extremely high quality honey, capable of reflecting the characteristics of the Ligurian flora in its expressions at different altitudes.

Sustainability

The company has always tried to reconcile product excellence with environmental sustainability, both essential characteristics for small quality production companies. In olive groves as in apiaries, management operations are mostly carried out manually or with the help of small agricultural equipment. This limitation in the use of machinery, imposed by the conformation of the Ligurian territory, has actually proven over time to be a strong point for the company: direct and daily contact with plants and animals allows the observation of many small, fundamental details for the achievement of the highest quality standards.

For the protection of our olives, from which we obtain the precious Porto Maurizio extra virgin olive oil and Imperia extra virgin olive oil, and for the well-being of our bees, we reduce the use of chemical products to a minimum. This commitment guarantees not only the authenticity of the products, but also a minimal impact on the natural ecosystem, keeping alive the tradition of Ligurian extra virgin olive oil and Ligurian honey.
