FIEU is the multivarietal Blend extra virgin olive oil resulting from the mixture of all the varieties of olives present in the Estates. The blend is obtained from the skilful and balanced blend of cellina, coratina, leccina, ogliarola, nociara and small fish.
Let's get to know them together:
Cellina offers an oil with unmistakable organoleptic profiles of absolute excellence, with notes of fruit and vegetables, with a harmonious flavor, with sensations of almond, tomatoes and grass that leave an intense and pleasantly bitter spicy aftertaste on the palate.
Coratina is perfect for organic production and gives a refined oil with marked bitter and spicy notes, which give the oil marked and angular features. Pungent if tasted immediately after pressing, coratina oil softens if consumed some time later, maintaining fruity notes for a long period of time. It has low acidity values and is rich in polyphenols.
From Leccino we obtain an oil with a neutral and not too aromatic flavor, with a bitter and slightly spicy aftertaste. Sometimes aromas of basil and mint, artichokes and almonds are recognized. The color is golden yellow with greenish hues.
Ogliarola is a cultivar with a hint of almond, a slightly bitter medium fruity flavor with a persistence of spiciness. The oil has a golden yellow color, with greenish reflections. Completing the maturation it shows a mildly aromatic sweet fruitiness.
The Nociara cultivar provides us with a fine, robust extra virgin olive oil with a bitter-spicy hint and notes of grass and tomato. The taste has a medium fruity flavor and the bitter-spicy is extremely pleasant. The oil has a golden color with greenish reflections.
The Picholine or Pesciolina, a plant of French origin, produces an extra virgin olive oil with a strong hint of artichoke and green tomato. The taste is intense and persistent spicy with balanced bitter notes. It is a rare monovarietal, produced by a few companies in Italy.
The FIEU blend is able to bring together both lovers of intense flavors and those who prefer softer flavors, combining the monocultivars to create an oil with an unmistakable flavor, a harmony that will fully satisfy you.
Pairings: Ideal for risotto, bruschetta and friselle, white meats, grilled or steamed vegetables, tomato salads, legume soups, raw with grilled meats, legume soups or the classic Apulian grilled octopus.
Try it: the perfect taste is within your reach.
