Simple Agricultural Society Deias Brothers
The Deias Brothers' farm is located in Sardinia, more specifically in the southwestern part of the regional territory, called Sulcis, within the Municipality of Nuxis. In the peripheral part of the town there are the administrative headquarters and the company laboratory, while the olive trees are located in two distinct countryside locations, for a total number of about 2000 trees.
The company is currently managed by 3 partners (the Deias Brothers) and has family origins, as the trees were born on the territory of our paternal grandfather, who started the cultivation of the olive trees. After observing several centuries-old olive trees in and along the borders of his fields, generous in their size and in bearing fruit, he had an intuition that this would be a thriving development.
“Nughes” is the name of our EVO oil. This would be the ancient name of the Nuxis village, where our family has cultivated roots for generations.
The cultivation and care of the plants take place in a biological regime, and the olive trees are varieties of the “Nera di Villacidro” and “Tonda di Cagliari”. We can obtain a BLEND produced by 70% of oil extracted from the “Nera di Villacidro” variety and 30% from the “Tonda di Cagliari” variety.
The oil is extracted in our laboratory with a two-phase mill with cold working at an extraction temperature that does not exceed 25°C (77°F) and filtered out of the decanter with a carton system.
Our oil has an intense fruity flavor with notes of grass and wild thistle, and for this reason, it goes well with salads, grilled or raw vegetables, and fish-based dishes.
