TENUTA MONTE MAURO
Tenuta Monte Mauro was founded at the foot of the parish church of Santa Maria in Tiberiaco (515 m a.s.l.), in the center of the “Vena del Gesso Romagnola” park, (a UNESCO heritage site) and was consolidated over the years thanks to the determination of the founding Conti Manaresi families who transformed an ambitious project into a solid business reality.
In the Tenuta Monte Mauro, all processing cycles are completely carried out within the Tenuta itself. It starts from the cultivation of the olives: “Nostrana di Brisighella”, “Orfana”, “Leccino”, etc. up to the milling, which takes place directly in the internal mill within 24 hours after the harvest. It produces “Brisighella DOP” EVO olive oil (the first Italian DOP), "Canovetta" EVO olive oil, a blend of Leccino and Nostrana di Brisighella. At the end of the milling process, the oil is filtered and bottled under vacuum (to ensure minimal oxidation and thus longer shelf life).
Tenuta Monte Mauro is a young reality in the panorama of hillside farms in Brisighella and Italy in general. The dream of two entrepreneurs has given rise to very interesting products with qualitative positioning in the medium-high range.
In addition to oil, there is the cultivation of saffron stigmas, medicinal herbs, caramelized figs (a typical Romagna recipe) and typical specialties in oil.
Today the Tenuta Monte Mauro is a way of life; we are custodians of the land (which became a UNESCO heritage site in November 2023), secrets and traditions that bind us to these territories. Study and attention to detail have allowed us to enhance such simple but at the same time very precious products.
