The company
Il Casale di Spoleto is a small agricultural company owned by the Perugini Vincenzo family. It is located about 9 km from Spoleto, on the hills on the edge of the Spoletana valley, or Tiber valley, which extends from Spoleto beyond Assisi and Perugia. It has an extension of approximately 2 hectares, while the olive cultivars are Moraiolo, Leccino and Frantoio, as in the traditional mix of Spoleto extra virgin olive oil. The cultivations take place on clayey soils with a high limestone component, with slight slopes towards the central and flat area, of lake origin, of the Spoleto valley itself.
The company developed around the old Oste house, located along the Oste road of the same name, on the northern edge of the territory of the municipality of Spoleto, which was purchased by the Perugini family at the beginning of the last century. Always managed at a family level, until grandfather Innocenzo, it found a boost in the 1980s thanks to the action of Nunzio and above all of his wife Marisa, who guided the reorganization and integration of the cultivars to better adhere to the canonical mix of the Spoletino extra virgin olive oil.
Today the company is managed by the Perugini Vincenzo family, with his wife Sandra and sons Giacomo and Lorenzo, capable of bringing skills and passion on a technological, environmental and commercial level. The company focus is on continuous improvement of quality, sustainability and cultural valorisation of the territory and the product. This commitment is reflected in the production of quality Spoleto extra virgin olive oil and Spoleto extra virgin olive oil, products that embody the tradition and authenticity of this unique area.
